Well, it’s been a little while since I’ve shared here. Hello again, Dreamers! Life got busy (as it tends to do), but I’ve missed reading everyone’s posts and feeling connected in this lovely little dream space. Anyway, I wanted to jot this one down from last night before it faded.

Last night I dreamt I was at the grocery store, of all places. It wasn’t one I recognized, but I seemed to know where everything was. As I reached into my purse to grab my list, I noticed a pair of sunglasses tucked into one of the smaller pockets.

They were the ones I lost years ago. Big round frames with dark green lenses. I used to wear them all the time in my 40s—can you imagine, ha. I pulled them out and put them on, and instantly the store looked different. Softer. Brighter, but not in a harsh way. It just felt easier to be there, like the edges of everything had softened a bit.

I didn’t end up buying anything. Just wandered the aisles wearing my old sunglasses, feeling like I’d been given back a tiny piece of a younger version of myself.

When I woke up, I actually checked the drawer I always keep sunglasses in. Still gone. But it was a nice moment to revisit them, even just in a dream. #Nostalgia

Glad to be back, and looking forward to catching up on what you all have been dreaming lately!

TRIGGER WARNING

After this person graped me several times something awoke in me and I was suddenly a Phoenix. I've posted the whole dream on reddit.

I had a dream I had powers that I didn't even know existed .

I knocked out at like 7pm and just woke up from a dream where I was in a hot air balloon going over the desert. We descended pretty quickly into the sand and set up a camp for the night. We, being myself and three other unfamiliar campers, had a fire going and set up our chairs. I remember feeling a little weirded out as I did not recognize the other guys, but they all seemed to have features like my friends. The campers’ hair matched the style of my friends in waking life, but their faces in the dream were different. Same body type too. It was definitely an uncanny valley moment. I ended up waking up rather abruptly when I leaned back in my chair and started to fall backwards. It jolted me awake.

I’m curious if going back to bed is going to bring the same characters out, or if they’ve served their purpose…

Goodnight everyone!

I’m waking up in the passenger seat of my car and a friend is driving me home in the dead of winter in northern NH. Were mid conversation and I think to myself “Who is this? How come I don’t remember meeting this friend? They seem so familiar but I don’t know their name and can’t remember meeting them”, as I look around I feel less like I’m waking up and more like I’m loopy/still falling asleep. And then it clicks. I’m drugged. I fight the sleepiness and move quickly. I climb out the window of the car, as they laugh like a friend would listening to a joke, and land hard on the pavement as the car keeps moving. I turn and run towards traffic and wave my arms yelling for help. My “friend” has pulled over the car and is coming after me asking if I’m “serious” and to “get back into the car”. I continue waving my arms seeing nothing but headlights swerving me. Then I see someone on the side of the road facing the woods staring off. I fight the sleepiness of the drugs and yell to them then stop in my tracks. It’s not just me that’s feeling off. The man looking into the woods is stunned looking at something or someone. The cars stop coming. The “friend” caught up and stands next to me, not to harm me but to continue to convince me that I’m being silly and to get back into the car. I’m contemplating if I’m really in a safe place with this “friend” or if I’m safer outside where the world seems to be panicking. I stumble back to the car and have this overwhelming understanding the world has started to be invaded by aliens.

I woke up with sleep paralysis for only a moment but was able to break it.

Before going to sleep I had forgotten about the traffic challenge. But when I woke up and was thinking about my dream I felt like it matched up with the challenge! I was on some kind of ocean highway, the road made of giant concrete tubes but we were walking on top of them. There was only a few feet of walkable terrain, the ocean was close on both sides. It was like I was lost or didn’t know where to go, I thought I needed yo turn but then the concrete road would get covered by the ocean.

#DreamChallenge

I tried to dream of a traffic dream but was unable to put myself in the global #dreamchallenge :( HOWEVER I dream that I was in my car! (I’ve never tried to dream of anything specific before so this isn’t too bad for my first try 😂).

In my dream I had picked up my sister at night in the dead of winter and we walked to my car in a large parking lot. There was so many people standing around and mingling in the lot like it was a tailgate or something, a handful of guys looked at us weird and it creeped us out. When we get in the car I start to drive us to where my sister had first asked to be dropped off so I circle the parking lot navigating all the packed cars and people to find the best exit for her plans but after a while of driving she then tells me she changed her mind and wants to be dropped off somewhere else so I keep driving in circles until I woke up.

anyone else try the traffic jam dream last night and end up in a parking lot?

I had dream about being a manager of a soccer team. We were losing 3 to 0 in the first half and I had to give some sort of pep talk to get the team hype for the second half. Sometimes the game would be indoors in like a dark, small room or it would be in a large stadium. Back on the field the game started up and we had a breakaway and took a shot on goal. The goalie caught the ball but rolled it out too quickly/not thinking and rolled it to our forward instead. He then took a shot and ended up scoring but the goalie didn’t even try to defend it (he and a defender just stood literally inside the goal). We all cheered and I told the team we’d be taking a cruise to celebrate if they kept it up.

I would write the scores down on a whiteboard and add how they scored. I was nervous to write stuff down right by the coach though cause I forgot to put on deodorant and was afraid I’d stink up the indoor field lmao. Anyway, as I was writing down how each play was the coach would keep interrupting and making sure I was doing it right as we wanted to make insurance claims if any of the players got hurt. By the end I think we ended up winning (?) and I had to give another pep talk about going on a free cruise. But on the cruise the team would act as tour guides, hence why it was free. I remember talking to one guy and the other manager and the one player looked like Antoine Griezmann and was listening so intently. The cruise conversation happened in the same place as the indoor field, but in a different section that acted as a dingy dive bar where you could see little particles in the air. At one point me and the other manager told the bartender to open a window for a cross breeze or something bc we could literally see how still and stuffy the air was. This made us all laugh and then the dream transitioned into the next:

I was prepping for a last of us type scenario and running around a neighborhood that’s becoming a recurring dream world now. It’s a tight neighborhood with large gorgeous houses and trees everywhere in the center, with brick sidewalks and just barely enough room between the trees for the sun to peek through (definitely an affluent area). The houses then get much more spread out further away from the middle. In this dream I wanted to stay in the center and was running around the block and through the streets. It started with me running from something in a panic, but then transitioned into me running in order to train and keep my stamina up in case of emergencies. But i remember thinking to myself that I should stay inside the tight part so that if I did end up getting chased I could easily run between the houses and get away.

When I got back to my apartment, my partner was there talking about how the neighbors were preparing their houses. I felt uneasy and that something was off, but couldn’t put it into words. Then my alarm went off. Weird mix.

In the dream, she told me she had something to tell me and show me. She told me that she was actually an alien, and showed me that she really had a green body with slimy arms and four root-like legs, but still the same human like head and neck. The lower half of her body resembled a tree. I told her I still loved her, much to her delight. She then wrapped her arms around me and we kissed.

When I was a kid, I had a dream that my mom and I woke up and we had somehow swapped bodies. We both freaked out but decided to try and remain calm until we could figure out how it happened. My mom went to school as me and I stayed at home as her. I was cleaning as my mom when suddenly, my dad came home. Not knowing it was really me in his wife's body, he wanted to kiss. I was sweating bullets and I turned around to find myself backed in a corner, then I turned back around to him planting a big kiss on me, tongue and all! I felt like I was gonna be sick! He on the other hand enjoyed it.

For whatever reason I (24M) don't really dream that often and it's even rarer that any of my dreams are something pleasant. That's probably why for some reason this dream for some reason has such a hold on me. I really don't want to forget it, so I occasionally type it out as best I can so it stays in my head.

The dream opens with me approaching or already talking to a girl. Due to fluid nature of dreams she is kind of constantly shifting her features between 2 women I was very attracted to at the time. We're just talking casually (couldn't tell you what about, I'm pretty sure that's faded away from memory) and eventually she says that she likes me. I somewhat remember being taken aback by this statement in the dream and then telling her I fealt the same way. Then the dream literally fades to white and a actual scene change occurs.

My POV is both 3rd and 1st person or its probably just shifting. We're now very clearly at our wedding. Whether or not there's a crowd in the scene watching is something I can never say for certain. The most important detail is that we're slow dancing with each other, just looking into each other's eye's as we dance. I can never remember if there's music playing either but I like to think there wasn't and we were just dancing to a silent tune only we could hear. Dream ends there.

I don't know entirely why this dream has stuck with me so much. Probably because it's very rare my dreams aren't something negative. Like I said, idky but from time to time I feel an intense urge to write down and recall this dream to the best of my ability.
