I occasionally feel an intense urge to talk about this dream I had a couple years ago, so here it is.

(I was encouraged to share this story after posting it on r/Dreams and getting an invite link)

For whatever reason I (24M) don't really dream that often and it's even rarer that any of my dreams are something pleasant. That's probably why for some reason this dream for some reason has such a hold on me. I really don't want to forget it, so I occasionally type it out as best I can so it stays in my head.

The dream opens with me approaching or already talking to a girl. Due to fluid nature of dreams she is kind of constantly shifting her features between 2 women I was very attracted to at the time. We're just talking casually (couldn't tell you what about, I'm pretty sure that's faded away from memory) and eventually she says that she likes me. I somewhat remember being taken aback by this statement in the dream and then telling her I fealt the same way. Then the dream literally fades to white and a actual scene change occurs.

My POV is both 3rd and 1st person or its probably just shifting. We're now very clearly at our wedding. Whether or not there's a crowd in the scene watching is something I can never say for certain. The most important detail is that we're slow dancing with each other, just looking into each other's eye's as we dance. I can never remember if there's music playing either but I like to think there wasn't and we were just dancing to a silent tune only we could hear. Dream ends there.

I don't know entirely why this dream has stuck with me so much. Probably because it's very rare my dreams aren't something negative. Like I said, idky but from time to time I feel an intense urge to write down and recall this dream to the best of my ability.
