This is a dream that I had a few years ago. But I was in my childhood backyard in Georgia during the summer, and I was digging in the ground singing a song. It was some sort of spell. I dug up my grandpa's body (who died 9 years before I had this dream and who I never saw in any other dream before or after) while singing the song, and the song/spell gave me one hour to talk to him. I literally woke him up from the dead so we could catch up. I don't remember most of the lyrics and for some reason, the whole conversation itself is blank, but I remember that the song had to keep going for the spell to work. I also had to put his body back in the ground when it was over, and as I tossed the dirt back in his grave, the last line of the song I sang before I woke up was, "I'm building you up, to put you six feet in the ground." It was a happy sounding melody, but I wasn't happy while singing it. I woke up crying and couldn't go back to sleep because it felt so real. And it felt so permanent. I woke up knowing that was the only time this would ever happen, and we wouldn't ever talk again. This isn't the first or only dream I ever had where the songs I was singing were spells to do something that frightened/agitated/excited me so bad I woke up, but this is the first time I brought a loved one back to talk to them, at least that I remember. I think I did it with my grandma as a kid, but I was little. I don't know, but it's been three years since I had the dream, and I still think about it a lot and cry. I'm new to this app, if anyone can tell me a way to attach audio, I'll sing the part of the song I remember.
