Being stuck

I used to have lots of dreams when I was little of being somewhere with my family walking, but me suddenly being glued to the spot. My family always would then get annoyed, accuse me of sulking and walk off, leaving me. My family have always been very loving, and IRL would have waited for me, so I don't know what caused this.
